I don’t remember the exact wording, but there was a block of text on the back of the album cover that said something along the lines of, “to fully enjoy the sound of the Paul Butterfield Blues Band it is recommended that this record be played at the highest possible volume.” Both Butterfield and particularly, Bloomfield, played as loud as they could. Their performances were majestic.
