Once again, our winged friends the corvids show us there’s a whole mess of intention taking place in the natural world, there but for the noticing. Cooler still the author says he saw ten crows try this technique, suggesting they’re teaching it to each other.
About an hour and a half later, the same or another crow arrived, also with a piece of bread in its bill, to the very same lamp, doing the same thing. However, this time, while doing this, it suddenly stuck its head in the water and grabbed a fish. A small cichlid. It then took off with the fish in its bill and landed on the grass to eat it.
Too cool. Read the rest here.
